Description

This national training course is part of the IAEA Technical Cooperation Project BOH6019, “Optimizing Existing and Introducing New Nuclear Medicine Diagnostic and Therapeutic Modalities”. The course focuses on enhancing the diagnostic quality and safety of nuclear medicine procedures performed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with emphasis on SPECT, PET, and hybrid imaging modalities. 

Objectives

The objective of the course is to provide structured, practical training to nuclear medicine professionals—including nuclear medicine physicians, medical physicists, and technologists—on optimizing protocols for various diagnostic applications.

Training sessions will include lectures, practical demonstrations, and case discussions led by international and national experts. The course supports the harmonization of procedures across institutions and aligns with national regulatory requirements on medical exposure to ionizing radiation.
