Description

This national training course is part of the IAEA Technical Cooperation Project BOH6020, “Upgrade of medical physics services and improvement of existing national regulations in medical exposure.” The course focuses on the harmonization of quality control practices in medical imaging and radiotherapy, in support of regulatory compliance and patient radiation protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Objectives

The objective of the course is to provide structured, practice-oriented training on the harmonization of quality control procedures in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiotherapy, with emphasis on standardized methods, acceptance criteria, and regulatory requirements, and on the role of medical physicists in clinical practice and compliance.

Training sessions will include lectures, practical demonstrations, and case-based discussions led by national and international experts. The course supports the harmonization of quality control procedures across institutions and aligns with national regulatory requirements related to medical exposure to ionizing radiation.
